One of my favorite places to take a walk and just hang out is Cal Tech. It is the best of college campuses.

It gives off the we’re doing something with our lives vibe without the annoying frathouse, college kid, fast food aesthetic.

Also, it feels like a beautiful park. The architecture is a weird mix of Neo Classical Revival, 70’s Star Trek set, and contemporary beige stucco, wood and glass whatever.

I can tell that although the school is full of nerds, they’re not robot nerds. I took this as I nosily peeked into the academic offices.

Also, whenever I have been there, I have seen someone getting married.

Even the fountains are more than required by law, plop art.

This is its plaque.

You cannot escape the learning. And like I said, no robots, well, except for this one.
